Biography

Christopher J. Dillon is a team lead in NCATS’ Office of Strategic Alliances (OSA), where he oversees a team that provides planning, operations and analytics support for all NCATS technology transfer alliance activities. He and his team also spearhead outreach and marketing initiatives for the Center’s Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs. Dillon helped launch and continues to manage the Advancing Innovation through Mentorship (AIM) program, an entrepreneur-based program focused on customer and stakeholder discovery — one of the first of its kind at NIH. He also is the OSA lead for the National Covid Cohort Collaborative (N3C). Dillon continues to maintain an extensive technology transfer portfolio by developing and negotiating template collaboration agreements for NCATS intramural and extramural programs.

Prior to joining NCATS in December 2011, Dillon worked for the NIH Chemical Genomics Center at the National Human Genome Research Institute as an operations coordinator and the National Center for Research Resources as a program assistant supporting the director, deputy director and senior advisors.

Dillon received a bachelor’s degree in justice studies from Arizona State University and master’s degrees in technology management and business administration from the University of Maryland University College.
